After descending the spectacular series of eight locks at Neptune’s Staircase or enjoy a tasting and tour at Ben Nevis distillery. Established in 1825 and situated at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, it is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland.

Go ashore on the sacred isle of Iona to reflect on the influence of the religious colonists who landed here and established a seat of Christianity in 563.

Tour the ancestral home of Clan Maclean, Duart Castle, which proudly guards the sea cliffs of Mull and houses family treasures of the past 700 years. Duart was brought back from ruin in 1911 by Sir Fitzroy Maclean.

Take a local boat from Oban to discover the wonderful wildlife that inhabits the region’s waters and coastline. Oban is a world-class destination for spotting seals, whales, dolphins and porpoises.
