5th to 12th April 2022

Beautifully wild and untamed, Wester Ross is a remote region of soaring mountains and atmospheric glens, ancient Caledonian forest and wild beaches, set against a backdrop of Fjord-like lochs.

Tuesday 5th April

When embarkation and the mandatory safety drill had been completed, we set sail from Oban for our overnight anchorage in Tobermory Bay.

Wednesday, 6th April

We spent the first morning cruising round Ardnamurchan Point on passage towards the Isle of Rum where guests enjoyed afternoon walks on the island.

We anchored overnight in Loch na Dal.

Thursday, 7th April

After a morning cruising Kyle Rhea, under the Skye Bridge and the Inner Sound we arrived in Ullapool for our afternoon visit to Corrieshalloch Gorge.

We remained alongside in Ullapool overnight.

Friday, 8th April

Our morning was spent relaxing on board as we cruised south on passage towards Gairloch.

After lunch guests went ashore at Gairloch for the afternoon visit to Inverewe Garden.

We anchored overnight in Upper Loch Torridon.

Saturday, 9th April

After mornign walks ashore in Shieldaig, we sailed to Plockton during lunch for our afternoon exploration of this pretty, conservation village.

We berthed alongside in Kyle of Lochalsh overnight.

Sunday 10th April

Cameras at the ready this morning for our visit the iconic Eilean Donan, the most photographed castle in Scotland.

Over the sea to Skye this afternoon where we visited the woodland gardens of Armadale Castle ahead a sailing to our overnight anchorage in Loch Sunart.

Monday 11th April

Stepping ashore at Glenmore Bay, guests enjoyed a tour and tasting at the Ardnamurchan Distillery, one of the world’s greenest distilleries which uses hydro-electricty to generate all its power.

Our final port of call was Tobermory, island capital of Mull, for free time and shopping in the colourful harbour town. The Farewell Gala dinner was held at anchor off Oban.

Tuesday, 12th April

Guests disembarked in Oban after breakfast and we wish them all a safe journey home.
