Tuesday 1st September — Setting Sail from Oban
Our adventure began in Oban, where guests came on board and settled in as the ship readied herself for the voyage ahead.
Wednesday 2nd September — Through the North Channel to Londonderry
We crossed the North Channel toward Londonderry, where guests explored the historic city walls and the elegant Guildhall.
The ship anchored for the night in Ballycastle.
Thursday 3rd September — Giants and Rope Bridges on the Causeway Coast
A morning coach carried guests along the Causeway Coast to the Giant’s Causeway, its forty thousand basalt columns as extraordinary as legend promises.
In the afternoon, a second coach visited the swaying Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge.
The ship came alongside in Larne for the night.
Friday 4th September — Titanic Stories and a Castle in the Glens
A morning coach took guests into Belfast to the Titanic Exhibition, and the afternoon brought a visit to Glenarm Castle and its historic walled gardens.
The ship anchored overnight in Bangor Bay.
Saturday 5th September — A Day at Mount Stewart
Guests spent the morning at Mount Stewart House, followed by luncheon on the estate and a free afternoon to explore its celebrated gardens and grounds.
The ship anchored for the night in Red Bay.
Sunday 6th September — Cruising Back Toward Scotland
The morning was spent cruising the North Channel back towards Scotland, with an afternoon call at Crinan for walks ashore, along the towpath.
The ship anchored off Crinan overnight.
Monday 7th September — Through the Sound of Luing to Kingairloch
We cruised through the Sound of Luing, the Firth of Lorn and Loch Linnhe, before an afternoon stop at Loch a’Choire for walks on the Kingairloch Estate.
The ship anchored overnight in Duart Bay where the farewell gala dinner was held.
Tuesday 8th September — Journey’s End in Oban
We returned to Oban, bringing to a close a week that had carried us through the best of Northern Ireland and the Scottish coast.
