Friday 28th August
We spent the day in Oban, embarking passengers. That evening we sailed for Bloody Bay on the north coast of Mull, where we anchored overnight.
Saturday 29th August
We spent the morning cruising the Sea of the Hebrides towards the Isle of Barra, a crossing of open water giving good views back towards the Small Isles and Skye. By afternoon we were berthed alongside in Castlebay, overlooked by Kisimul Castle on its islet in the harbour. Guests went ashore to Vatersay, linked to Barra by a causeway, for walks along its beaches.
That night we anchored off Lochboisdale, South Uist.
Sunday 30th August
Guests left Lochboisdale for a full-day tour of the Uists, taking in the machair, beaches and history of South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, with a picnic lunch served ashore. Hebridean Princess sailed round from Lochboisdale to Lochmaddy, North Uist, to collect guests at the end of their tour.
We anchored that night off the Isle of Canna.
Monday 31st August
We spent the morning at Canna, where guests went for walks around the island or visited Canna House, once home to the folklorist John Lorne Campbell.
In the afternoon we crossed to the Isle of Eigg, dominated by the distinctive volcanic ridge of An Sgùrr, where guests went ashore for further walks.
That night we anchored in Charlotte Bay, off the Isle of Kerrera, close to Oban.
Tuesday 1st September
We returned to Oban for passenger disembarkation and embarkation.
