David has spent most of his professional life teaching history and has published extensively on British history and topography. He commenced full-time work in expedition travel in 1998, and has since travelled the world in that capacity.

Michael Buerk is one of the UK’s leading broadcast journalists, and has won many of the industry’s major awards. He has worked as a BBC foreign correspondent and presenter for more than 30 years.

Bob Elliot is an expert naturalist having led species protection projects for the RSPB and worked on combating wildlife crime. Passionate about nature, he leads expeditions worldwide and has visited most Scottish islands, sharing his expertise and love for the natural world.
