Tuesday 3rd to Tuesday 10th June 2025
As the remotest part of the British Isles, St Kilda forms the most important seabird breeding site in northwest Europe. With cliffs, sea stacks and grassy slopes, the islands are ideally suited to nesting birds.
Tuesday 3rd June
Guests were piped aboard in Oban where we remained alongside overnight.
Wednesday 4th June
This morning was spent ashore on the Isle of Mull where guests explored the colourful harbour town of Tobermory.


We spent the afternoon cruising round Ardnamurchan Point and past the Small Isles on passage towards our overnight anchorage in Loch Harport off the west coast of the Isle of Skye.
Thursday 5th June
Guests went ashore at Lochmaddy, North Uist, for the morning visit to the Balranald Bird Reserve.


Guest speaker Andy Bunten gave the first of his talks this afternoon in the Tiree Lounge.
We sailed overnight tonight on passage towards St Kilda.
Friday 6th June
We sailed into Village Bay this morning and guests went ashore on Hirta, St Kilda for walks and to explore the abandoned village.

















We spent the afternoon cruising the Atlantic on passage towards our overnight anchorage off Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.
Saturday 7th June
Ashore at Stornoway, guests visited the Arnol Black Houses and the nature reserve at RSPB Loch Muilne this morning and Tiumpan Head in the afternoon in the attempt to see whales.




We anchored overnight off the Shiant Isles.
Sunday 8th June
After breakfast, guests enjoyed boat trips around the Shiant Isles to view the bird life.






We spent the afternoon cruising the Sound of Raasay, under the Skye Bridge, through Kyle Rhea, the Sound of Sleat and round the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, on passage towards our overnight anchorage in Tobermory bay.
Monday 9th June
The local boat arrived this morning to take guests to visit Lunga to view the resident puffins.


The final afternoon was spent relaxing on board as we sailed on passage towards Oban where the farewell gala dinner was held and we remained alongside overnight.
Tuesday 10th June
Guests disembarked in Oban after breakfast and we wish them all a safe onward journey.
