Monday 25th August to Wednesday 3rd September 2025

Experience life on either side of the English Channel on this voyage of discovery. Contrast the delights of the Isle of Wight with the continental charm of the Channel Isles which lie closer to France but remain resolutely British.

Monday 25th August

After a splendid sailaway reception from Portland, we sailed to our overnight anchorage in Swanage Bay.

Tuesday 26th August

This morning we arrived and berthed alongside in Poole, Dorset, for the visit Kingston Lacy, a lavish family home re-imagined as a Venetian Palace in the rural Dorset countryside.

In the afternoon we sailed past the Isle of Wight towards our overnight berth in Portsmouth.  

Wednesday 27th August

This morning guests visited the Mary Rose Museum and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

We departed frrom Portsmouth and spent the afternoon cruising the English Channel on passage towards Cherbourg, France where we berthed alongside overnight.

Thursday 28th August

This morning guests enjoyed a tour of Cherbourg by horse drawn carriage.

In the evening we arrived and berthed alongside in St Peter Port, Guernsey where we remained overnight.

Friday 29th August

This morning guests were split into two groups, one going on an island tour in the morning, while the other group enjoyed free time in the city, in the afternoon they then swapped around. The excursion was by vintage Twinkle bus to visit the Little Chapel, the National Trust of Guernsey Folk & Costume Museum, and Saumarez park. During the outing guests had the opportunity to taste traditional Guernsey Gâche (fruit loaf) with Guernsey butter.

We remained alongside in St Peter Port, Guernsey overnight.

Saturday 30th August

After breakfast, guests explored Castle Cornet which has guarded the entrance to St Peter Port harbour for 800 years.

After lunch they embarked on a “Wartime Guernsey” tour to discover what life was like during the German Occupation in WWII.

Ashleigh Moore provided live entertainment in the Tiree Lounge after dinner and we remained alongside in St Peter Port, Guernsey overnight.

Sunday 31st August

This morning guests took the local ferry to Sark Island for a full day tour including a horse drawn carriage ride, La Siegneurie Gardens and lunch at Hathaways restaurant.

We remained alongside in St Peter Port, Guernsey overnight.

Monday 1st September

Guests took the local ferry to Herm this morning for an island tour on foot.

In the afternoon a coach was available to take guests on a panoramic tour of the north coast of the island.

Please be advised that we shall remain alongside in St Peter Port, Guernsey overnight tonight.

Tuesday 2nd September

After early departure from Guernsey, we spent the day cruising the English Channel towards the United Kingdom mainland. In the evening we arrived and berthed alongside in Portland, where we remained overnight.

Wednesday 3rd September

Disembarkation took place in Portland after breakfast and our guests were waved a fond farewell by the Captain, Officers and crew.
