Highlights of the Clyde

Friday 6th to Tuesday 10th March

The Clyde estuary is a veritable treasure trove of lush gardens, ancient castles and historic houses. Explore them and discover their hidden secrets in the company of our knowledgeable guide on this enthralling short, spring break which is the ideal introduction to the exclusive world of Hebridean Princess.

Friday 6th March

Guests were piped aboard in Greenock and, once the mandatory safety drill had taken place, we set sail for our overnight anchorage in Holy Loch.

Saturday 7th March

From Holy Loch Marina, guests were transported to Benmore Botanic Gardens, where towering 150-year-old redwood trees, plus a renowned collection of rhododendrons and confiers awaited.

A realxing afternoon on board followed lunch, as we cruised past Little Cumbrae and the scenic Kyles of Bute and Loch Striven.

We anchored overnight off Greenock.

Sunday 8th March

After breakfast, guests enjoyed a morning visit to Ardgowan House, a 76-room Palladian mansion which was built in the 18th century.

Our afternoon visit was Finlaystone House, where we were welcomed by the MacMillan family.

We anchored overnight in Rothesay, Isle of Bute.

Monday 9th March

Ashore on Bute, a bus was be available to take guests to visit Mount Stuart House, the eclectic Neo-Gothic mansion which stands testament to the flamboyant tastes of the 3rd Marquess.

Our final foray ashore was Little Cumbrae for refreshing walks on the island.

The farewell gala dinner was held at anchor off Greenock.

Tuesday 10th March

Disembarkation took place after breakfast and we wish all our guests a safe journey home.
