Scotland has a rich heritage of art and architecture and today the traditional and the contemporary all have their place in the fabric of the country. Visit one of the nation’s most renowned art aglleries and appreciate the work of Scottish architects whose legacy has left lasting marks on the landscape.
Tuesday 10th March
Embarkation took place at the Ocean Cruise Terminal and we remained alongside in Greenock overnight.
Wednesday 11th March
After breakfast, guests travelled to Finlaystone House for a private tour conducted by George MacMillan, the current clan chief.






We spent the afternoon cruising the River Clyde towards Glasgow and berthed overnight alongside at King George V dock.
Thursday 12th March
Holmwood House played host to our morning visit. Here guests discovered the richly embellished architecture of Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson.









Lunch was served at House for an Art Lover, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.












In the afternoon, guests visited the Burrell Collection, a magnificent collection of over 9,000 objects spanning a history of over 6,000 years.















We anchored in Greenock overnight.
Friday 13th March
This morning, guests were tendered ashore at Rhu Marina, for the final visit to Hill House, Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s masterpiece.











A relaxing afternoon cruise of Loch Long and Loch Goil was enjoyed, ahead of the farewell gala dinner which was held at anchor off Greenock.




Saturday 14th March
Disembarkation to place in Greenock after breakfast. We hope all our guests have enjoyed discovering the Hidden Treasures of the Upper Clyde.
