Tuesday 24th March

Guests were piped on board in Greenock this afternoon. Following the mandatory safety drill, we sailed to our overnight anchorage in Rothesay Bay, Isle of Bute.

Wednesdsay 25th March

We spent the morning cruising Loch Fyne on passage towards Crarae, during which guest speaker Philip Serrell gave the first of hist talks in Tiree Lounge. 

In the afternoon, guests were tendered ashore at Crarae, for their private tour of Strachur House, home of Sir Charles and Lady Maclean.

We remained at anchor in Crarae overnight.

Thursday 26th March

After breakfast, guests visited Ardkinglas House, Sir Robert Lorimer’s masterpiece.

After lunch on board, the afternoon was spent enjoying a tour of the private apartments at Inveraray Castle.

We anchored off Greenock overnight.

Friday 27th March

Our morning visit to Ardgowan House was hosted by Sir Ludovic Shaw Stewart, whose family have lived at Ardgowan for 800 years.

During lunch we sailed to Rothesay, Isle of Bute, where a bus was waiting to take guests to Mount Stuart House for their afternoon tour. This Neo-Gothic mansion stands testament to the eclectic taste of the 3rd Marquess of Bute.

We berthed alongside in Troon overnight.

Satruday 28th March

Ashore at Troon, a coach transported guests to visit Dumfries House for a full day visit which inluded a tour of the house and gardens with lunch.

We anchored in Campbeltown Loch overnight.

Sunday 29th March

As we spent the morning cruising around the Mull of Kintyre, through the North Channel and into the Sound of Jura, guest speaker Philip Serrell delivered one of his talks in the Tiree Lounge.

Our afternoon port of call was Tayvallich for walks ashore.

We remained at anchor in Tayvallich overnight.

Monday 30th March

This morning, guests were tendered ashore at Ardfern Marina, for the visit to Arduaine Garden, high above Loch Melfort.

Our final port of call was the tiny Isle of Kerrera for afternoon walks on the island.

The farewell gala dinner was held alongside in Oban, where we remained overnight.

Tuesday 31st March

Guests disembarked in Oban after breakfast and we wish them a safe onward journey.
