Autumn Surprise

Tuesday 14th to Tuesday 21st October 2025

Embark on a voyage into the unknown. Join Captain Heaton on his autumn surprise cruise where only he knows our course.

As autumn dawns, discover hidden treasures, magic and mystery of Scotland’s west coast and the remote and wildly beautiful Hebridean islands. Captain Richard will take you to some of his favourite destinations, revealing the itinerary on a daily basis.

Tuesday 14th October

When all guests had embarked in Oban, Captain Heaton made the surprise announcement that they would spend the night sailing on passage towards St Kilda!

Wednesday 15th October

We sailed into St Kilda at sunrise and anchored in Village Bay for morning walks on the island. We believe that this is the very first time Hebridean Princess has visited St Kilda in October!

We cruised the sea stacs prior to sailing on passage towards our overnight anchorage off Rodel, Isle of Harris.

Thursday 16th October

We spend this morning cruising the North Minch and north east coast of Skye on passage towards the Isle of Raasay.

Guests enjoyed afternoon walks ashore on Raasay and refreshments at Raasay House.

Friday 17th October

Ashore on the Isle of Harris, guests enjoyed a morning tour and tasting at the Harris Distillery.

After returning to the ship for lunch, the afternoon was spent exploring the historic Blackhouses.

We berthed alongside in Stornoway overnight tonight and local entertainment was provided in the Tiree Lounge after dinner.

Saturday 18th October

Guests enjoyed a relaxing morning sail over The Minch to Gairloch.

We arrived in Gairloch in the afternoon, where guests had the option to visit Inverewe Garden or go for a walk in Flowerdale Glen.

We anchored overnight tonight in Upper Loch Torridon where Captain Heaton had arranged another surprise, the Northern Lights!

Sunday 19th October

Sunday morning was spent enjoying walks ashore at Shieldaig.

We spent the afternoon cruising south on passage towards our overnight anchorage off Inverie, Loch Nevis.

Monday 20th October

A wonderful morning cruise past the Small Isles, around Ardnamurchan Point, Loch Sunart and the Sound of Mull provided the opportunity for dolphin spotting!
