Portree, Skye – Tour the Trotternish Peninsula. Raasay – Raasay Distillery.
From Kyle of Lochalsh, cross the bridge to Skye to explore the moors of the Trotternish Ridge, one of Scotland’s most stunning landscapes, in awe of the sculptural rock formations. A tour of Raasay’s first legal distillery offers a warming dram.

Kyle of Lochalsh – Eilean Donan Castle. Armadale, Skye – Armadale Castle & Museum of the Isles.
No Scottish castle is more photographed than Eilean Donan. Built in the mid-13th century to guard Kintail, it was left in ruins for 200 years and restored by Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap. Set in attractive gardens, Armadale Castle was the seat of Clan Donald, where the Museum of the Isles wonderfully preserves Skye’s heritage.

Mull’s colourful Georgian harbour town of Tobermory offers pleasant strolls before we head to the island’s only dairy farm to taste the artisan produce at Isle of Mull Cheese.
The ancestral seat of the Macleans for over 400 years, Duart Castle was restored and reopened by Sir Fitzroy Maclean in 1912.
