Wednesday 10th to Friday 19th September 2025

Preparing to return to home waters, we plot a northerly course taking in the wonders of Wales, a country of natural beauty and rich heritage. The delightful Isle of Man acts as a stepping stone on our voyage to the land of the Caledonian Celts.

Wednesday 10th September

Embarkation took place this afternoon in Swansea. Guests were welcomed on board and settled into their cabins. We remained alongside in Swansea overnight.

Thursday 11th September

After breakfast, a coach took guests to the Bannau Brycheiniog for a scenic ride on the historic Brecon Mountain Railway steam train.

Following lunch on board, guests spent the afternoon visiting the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea where we remained alongside overnight.

Friday 12th September

Today guests enjoyed a full day excursion to Picton Castle and Gardens, lunch at the Grove Narberth Hotel and afternoon in Tenby whilst the ship sailed to Pembroke.

We berthed alongside in Pembroke Dock overnight.

Saturday 13th September

This morning guests toured Britain’s smallest city, St David’s and the impressive cathedral founded by the patron saint of Wales.  

In the afternoon guests travelled to Carew Castle and its restored tidal mill for a guided tour.

We remained alongside in Pembroke Dock overnight.

Sunday 14th September

Guests enjoyed a leisurely morning onboard with our guest speaker, Caroline Holmes, giving talk in the Tiree Lounge. Alternatively, a shuttle service was available should guests wish to explore the town independently.  

After lunch on board, guests explored the 900 year old Pembroke Castle, seat of power in west Wales for centuries.

We remained alongside in Pembroke Dock overnight.

Monday 15th September

After breakfast, guests embarked on a full day excursion which included the fascinating Last Invasion Tapestry in Fishguard. Lunch was served at the Wolfscastle Country Hotel, followed by a tour of the Melin Tregwynt Woollen Mill.

We remained alongside in Pembroke Dock overnight.

Tuesday 16th September

Our final visit in Wales was the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre.

We spent the afternoon and overnight cruising the Irish Sea.

Wednesday 17th September

Today was spent cruising towards Scotland and our overnight anchorage in Loch na Mile, Jura.

Thursday 18th September

Ashore at Craighouse, Isle of Jura, guests enjoyed morning walks along the bank of the loch. Deer Island rum distillery was open for any guests interested in a tour and tasting.

We spent the afternoon cruising on passage towards our overnight anchorage in Charlotte Bay where the Farewell Gala Dinner was held.  

Friday 19th September

We sailed into Oban this morning and disembarkation took place after breakfast.
