Tuesday 28th June to Tuesday 5th July 2022

The rugged beauty of Scotland’s far northwest is the stuff of legend and the ideal setting for an escape to nature and the sea.

Tuesday 28th June.

Guests travelled to Oban today and boarded the ship at Lighthouse Pier. After the safety drill, we set sail for our overnight anchorage in Bloody Bay off the Isle of Mull.

Wednesday 29th June.

After a morning sail around the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, past the Small Isles, Kyle Rhea and under the Skye Bridge we arrived in Loch Torridon for afternoon walks at the conservation village of Shieldaig.

We anchored overnight in Loch Ewe.

Thursday 30th June.

Guests were piped ashore at Loch Ewe for the morning visit to Inverewe Gardens, the jewel of west coast gardens.

Pre-lunch drinks were enjoyed on the Skye Deck as we sailed to the Summer Isles.

Ashore on the Summer Isles, guests explored Isle Martin where some guests took part in a beach clean up and the refreshment hamper was enjoyed in the sunshine.

We anchored overnight tonight off Loch a’Chàirn Bhàin.

Friday 1st July.

Our morning was spent at Loch a’Chàirn Bhàin where guests enjoyed walks from Kylesku into Loch Gledhui and the waterfall.

We arrived and berthed alongside in Lochinver during the afternoon, where guests visited the Highland Stoneware Pottery where each item is skillfully hand painted.

We remained alongside in Lochinver overnight.

Saturday 2nd July.

Sailing south to Ullapool, guests discovered Scotland’s geological history at the Knockan Crag Nature Reserve.

After lunch on board, our afternoon visit was to Corrieshalloch Gorge, the box canyon where the River Droma flows over a series of waterfalls.

We anchored overnight off the Shiant Isles.

Sunday 3rd July.

The village of Portree, Isle of Skye, played host to morning walks ashore.

From Kyle of Lochalsh, the iconic Eilean Donan Castle awaited our guests this afternoon. Strategically located on an island where three lochs meet, we cross the bridge to discover the castle’s turbulent history.

We anchored overnight in Loch na Dal off the Isle of Skye.

Monday 4th July.

We spent the morning cruising past the Small Isles, round Ardnamurchan Point and into the Sound of Mull on passage towards Tobermory, for our final foray ashore.
The Farewell Gala Reception and Dinner were held alongside in Oban where we remained overnight.

Tuesday 5th July.

We hope that all our guests have enjoyed their exploration of the far north west coast of Scotland.
