24th September - Gastronomic Scotland

From superb seafood and famous beef, to seasonal fresh game, artisan cheeses and fine malt whiskies - Scotland bears some of the world's finest produce imaginable.  Join Hebridean Princess on this gastronomic voyage as we explore the wonderful culinary offerings of the Higlands and Islands.

Tuesday, 24th September.

Guests embarked in Oban and were shown to their cabins, before setting sail for our overnight anchorage in Loch na Mile off the Isle of Jura. 

Wednesday, 25th September.

Going ashore at Port Ellen, Islay, guests spent the morning experiencing their first taste of Scotland at Laphroaig Distillery.

After lunch on board we arrived at the Isle of Colonsay, where guests enjoyed an oyster and honey tasting at the village hall with Andrew Abrahams.

We anchored overnight in Charlotte Bay off the Isle of Kerrera. 

Thursday, 26th September.

After a morning cruising through the Sound of Mull, round Ardnamurchan point and through the Small Isles we landed on the Isle of Rum for  our afternoon visit to Kinloch Castle. 

We anchored overnight in Loch Harport off the west coast of Skye. 

Friday, 27th September.

After an early morning cruising towards the Isle of Skye, we arrived in Loch Dunvegan where guests toured the castle and gardens, and took a local boat to view the seal colony. Guests also enjoyed lunch at The Three Chimneys restaurant before returning to the ship for a late afternoon sail on passage towards our overnight anchorage in Upper Loch Torridon. 

Saturday, 28th September.

Guests enjoyed walks and strolls ashore at Shieldaig to create an appetitie for lunch at The Torridon Hotel, before spending a relaxing afternoon on board as we cruised south on passage towards Kyle of Lochalsh where we remained overnight. 

Sunday, 29th September.

Our morning port of call was the Isle of Eigg where guests explored on foot or by bicycle.


Following a traditional roast lunch on board guests learned about traditional, artisan methods used at the Isle of Mull Cheese Farm and explored Tobermory.


We anchored overnight in Tobermory harbour. 

Monday, 30th September.

This morning we cruised the Sound of Mull on passage towards the Isle of Eriska where guests enjoyed lunch at the Isle of Eriska Hotel.

The Farewell Gala Dinner was held at anchor in Oban Bay. 

Tuesday, 1st October.

Disembarkation took place in Oban this morning and we wish all our guests a safe onward journey.
