21st July - South Coast Sojourn - 1

Embark in Portland to uncover some hidden gems of the South coast, the magical Isles of Scilly and the delights of the Bristol Channel.

Wednesday, 21st July.

After having completed embarkation in Portland, we anchored overnight off Weymouth.

Thursday, 22nd July.

Guests spent the day settling in and relaxing on board as we cruised Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and the Jurassic coast before arriving at Poole where we remained overnight.

Friday, 23rd July.

This morning guests embarked on a Panoramic Dorset tour and enjoyed refreshments at Durlston Country park. In the afternoon they visited Corfe Castle.

We remained overnight alongside in Poole.

Saturday, 24th July.

After leaving Poole this morning, we cruised past Swanage, St. Alban’s Head and Portland en route way to Fowey, Cornwall, where we remained at  anchor overnight.

Sunday, 25th July.

This morning guests visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan to discover 200 acres of garden history, mystery and romance.

After departure from Fowey, Cornwall we arrived at Falmouth, where we remained alongside overnight.

Monday, 26th July.

After departing Falmouth, we spent this morning cruising south coast of Cornwall to the Isles of Scilly. A local boat transported guests to St. Mary’s, where they went on a guided Garrison Walk. 

We cruised overnight to Lundy Island.

Tuesday, 27th July.

This morning guests visited Lundy Island, where they went for walks with warden. 


We spent the afternoon cruising Bristol Channel on passage towards our overnight anchorage at Blue Anchor Road. The Farewell Gala Dinner was held this evening, complete with the Address to a Haggis.

Wednesday, 28th July.

Guests disembarked after breakfast at Queen Alexandra Dock in Cardiff. We hope that they all enjoyed their cruise and we look forward to welcoming them back on board soon.
