14th May - Outer Isles Odyssey

The breathtaking beauty of Scotland's islands is beyond compare, shaped by sea and mountain, climate, heritage and culture.  Bathed in a luminosity of colour that enhances every scene, the unspoilt Outer Isles are a virtually unknown paradise.

Tuesday, 14th May.

Guests were piped on board in Oban and once the safety drills had been completed we set sail on passage to our overnight anchorage in Bloody Bay. 

Wednesday, 15th May.

This morning was spent cruising the Sea of the Hebrides towards Bishop’s Isles.  In the afternoon guests enjoyed the thrill of a beach landing on Vatersay for walks ashore and refreshemtns from the hamper.

We anchored overnight in Vatersay Bay.

Thursday, 16th May.

This morning we arrived and berthed alongisde in Castle Bay, Barra for a tour of the island.

During lunch we sailed to Lochboisedale for our afternoon excursion to Prince's Bay, Eriskay for walks on the beach.


We anchored overnight in Lochmaddy.
