Created by our own route researchers, Hebridean Spirit’s Privately Escorted Tours are journeys of discovery visiting lovely destinations, many with ancient and modern cultural and historic interest. Just a few examples include the fabulously ornate and colourful Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Uparkot Fort in North West India with its remarkable underground Buddhist monastery, the Castello di Acquafredda in Sardinia built in the 13th Century by Count Ugolino a notorious figure of ancient Pisan society,  the fascinating 10th Century BC Phoenician settlement of Leptis Magna in Northern Libya, and the wonderfully unspoilt World Heritage Site of Butrint in Albania – a very important but little visited site situated on the picturesque shores of Albania across the water from Corfu.

We also include exciting activities and events such as a train journey to the World Heritage Site in Kandy, in Sri Lanka on board the famous Viceroy’s train, and private sea plane flights over the atolls of the Maldives – both of which feature in the current winter programme. 

Each Privately Escorted Tour itinerary is accompanied by knowledgeable local guides and complimented back on board by informed, convivial and often well known guest speakers.
