We are delighted to announce that Hebridean Princess and the Royal Scotsman train have teamed up to offer the ultimate luxury tour of Scotland.

 The Pre-cruise extension package includes 3 or 4 nights on the Royal Scotsman; chauffeur driven transfer to the 5 star Isle of Eriska Hotel where you stay for one night Dinner, Bed and Breakfast before you transfer to Hebridean Princess. On disembarkation, your chauffeur will collect you in Oban and return you to Edinburgh or Glasgow for your onward travel.

 A journey on The Royal Scotsman takes you straight to the heart of the Highlands, through landscapes of towering, pine-clad mountains reflected in mirror-still lochs. This unique experience brings you the very best of Scotland’s scenery, architecture and activities along with a host of unexpected surprises – whilst spoiling you with lavish comfort!

 The train’s interior is designed as a luxurious home-from home and just 36 guests travel through Scotland’s finest countryside in private cabins decorated in country style. There are glorious views from every window, but to get really close to the scenery and feel the bracing air, head to the open-deck observation carriage at the rear. Life on board this luxury train is relaxed and indulgent, with gastronomic dining in the two dining cars where you will be treated  to the delicious cuisine of the on board chefs. Service is attentive but never intrusive and colourful touches, such a being welcomed on board at Edinburgh Waverley Station by Highland Piper, add to the thrill of the experience.

 Along the way, guests disembark to meet local personalities, talk to experts on subjects from salmon fishing to whisky and take part in fun activities – a truly Scottish rail vacation par excellence.

 Price for three night Western Journey, plus one night stay at the Isle of Eriska hotel and chauffer transfer is: £4,915 per person (In a double, twin or single cabin (subject to availability). Fully inclusive of meals, wine, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, visits and entertainment.

The Western Journey pre-cruise extension package can be combined with the following Hebridean Princess cruises for an 11 night voyage through the stunning summer highlands and islands

 4^th June 2013 – The Outer Isles and St Kilda

 13^th August 2013 – West to Lewis and Harris

 1^st October – Hebridean Autumn
