A restored manor house and former perfumery, this grand country-house hotel is located on the outskirts of the village of Franschhoek and surrounded by mountains and vineyards. Elegantly proportioned rooms have a dash of Gallic romance, featuring fireplaces, antiques and four-poster beds. All have a balcony or patio. The hotel’s Monneaux Restaurant is one of the best in the country, and scooped the American Express Platinum Award for fine dining in 2007.
