HEBRIDEAN SPIRIT FOOTLOOSE WALKING ADVENTURE CRUISES
For 2008, we have introduced the well-loved Hebridean Princess Footloose series to Hebridean Spirit. These six cruises combine Hebridean’s signature tours with optional walking expeditions.
These wonderful guided walks invite guests to stride out into nature and embrace the landscape. Varying in length and degrees of challenge, they range from a leisurely morning ramble to a full day’s guided hike with a delicious picnic lunch. You will find Footloose adventures at the beginning and end of the cruising programme, as the cooler days of spring and autumn offer the best conditions for walking.
The first takes place in the Azores, a cluster of volcanic islands in the Adriatic, where walkers can trace a path around lake-filled calderas and stroll through vineyards. Wildlife lovers will adore Footloose in Iberia, walking into the heart of wetlands, mountain ranges and limestone landscapes. Footloose on Spanish Shores explores the lush southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada, along donkey trains and through lemon groves and old Moorish villages. Footloose to Catalonia reveals salt lakes and a magical forest encircling a Cistercian abbey and ambles on the uninhabited Els Columbrets Islands, whilst for Footloose in Italy and Croatia, lavender fields, pretty island villages and a sixth century road await. During Footloose in the Balkans, we trace the walls of Kotor and enter the labyrinthine site of the Palace of Knossos.
