2 Gala Dinners
Cruising from Oban we visit some of Northern Ireland’s greatest sights including Mount Stewart House, Strangford Lough, Belfast, Rathlin Island and Londonderry – a real Gaelic adventure.
Heading south from Oban we visit Craighouse on Jura, the island’s only settlement and home to the Jura Distillery and Jura Hotel, followed by an afternoon at the ‘Whisky Isle’ of Islay, boasting eight working distilleries.
Our first port of call in Northern Ireland is Bangor from where we tour Mount Stewart House and Gardens, with lunch at the house before re-joining the ship in Strangford Lough.
Cruising Belfast Lough we take a tour of the city before visiting Queen’s Island, where the Titanic was built, then on to further sites connected to the iconic ship. A morning cruising the north east coast takes us to Rathlin Island and the cliffs of the RSPB Reserve. Hebridean Princess berths alongside the walls of Londonderry where we have a walking tour of the city before enjoying an afternoon cruise along the river Foyle into Loch Foyle then homeward to Scottish waters.
Enjoy gentle walks at Crinan before exploring Kilmartin Glen from Ardfern. At Kilmartin House Museum we learn about the glen which boasts the highest concentration of ancient monuments in Scotland.
